Front Cover Introduction

I am going to conduct research into 5 established music magazines, in order to learn a range of key techniques and features in which I should use to make mine professional. As I said I am going to use NME and Q as my main style models, so I will undertake research into 2 of each magazine. I will then look into another magazine for my 5th choice. I am currently contemplating Kerrang as I think rock will be an interesting genre to use. I will study all key areas of the magazine, including lighting, positioning, graphology, text/language and colouring. Another feature which I will make an importance is the logo. I think this will be an important feature for my magazine, so I want to know how they use it. I will then use this research when designing my own music magazine.
